Note I did not use words like fast, quick, easy or make  money now!! Those are just for show and most if not all are scams!! So be very very veeery careful.

Truth be told, there is nothing easy about making money. You will have to invest a considerable amount of time and resources so as to achieve your goals. Please get rid of the “easy” crap, roll up your sleeves and get down to business. Sorry folks, this is real life.

First and foremost, you have to do a thorough research on the legitimate sites available. Be sure to check the reviews online and also ask your friends on the credible sites to seek membership. Notice also different sites have different packages and features,so be sure to read their terms and conditions then choose which site(s) best suites your needs.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

According to Wikipedia, “Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.” An affiliate is a person or organization officially attached to a larger body. Its synonyms are partner, branch, offshoot and subsidiary.

How this relationship works is pretty easy; assuming you are an affiliate of Thabizzkid. when you bring customers to me (Thabizzkid) through the channels i have given you (text link,  banner or pamphlet…), you (affiliate) get a commission. The terms and conditions and commissions vary from business to business, but that is how it basically works.

Your greatest work as the affiliate will be to direct as many buyers or prospective customers as possible to the business you are affiliated to as that directly translates to greater commission!! Note you can be an affiliate to several companies at once, so long as there is no conflict of interest so be sure to read carefully the terms and condition before embarking on any such en-devour lest you get into biig trouble!!

If you have a website or blog, ensure it is well written, interesting and regularly updated to ensure a loyal following. Also ensure use of SEO (Search Engine Optimization)- this is where articles are written using keywords that are most used to search for content in the search engines. This increases your blog posts or websites’ chances of appearing among the first on a search. If don’t have a blog or website yet, don’t worry. Its easy nowadays to get a blog from WordPress or Blogger.

I am an affiliate marketer myself, and one program I have enrolled in is Freelancer. They have a great affiliate program and an ever greater market place where freelancers and employers can get work and labor respectively at good rates.the links on this post are my affiliate links, so if you enroll to Freelancer I will get a commission  😉

Watch your traffic grow with Sparklines

Watch your traffic grow with Sparklines. pretty cool huh?

OMG I’m in a blogging slump!!

You stare at your computer and it stares back. Your mind just doesn’t seem to do anything (well, it seems to be doing everything else but think). You’re almost upside down by now trying to think what your next topic will be… and yes, you’re blank!! Totally clueless!!!

It has never ceased to amaze me how dense I can be at times, I mean, Lil Mama makes singing a mega hit ‘bout lip-gloss look easy!!! And here I am stuck as to what my next blog post should be about!!

I’m looking for some kind of excuse to justify this rather unfortunate phenom that happens to timely occur when you desperately need to meet deadlines… maybe I could say I’m only human and that I ain’t perfect. That’s too cliché. The truth of the matter is it’s here with me and I gotta deal with it. And fast. But how???

EvenKobedoesn’t always drop a hot 61 pts in every game. There are his A-games and his Z-games. But he always finds a way to bring out his A-game after one of his Z-games.

Today was one of those blue days. I was totally blank, so I opened the word processor and stared at it for some time (I was hoping it would inspire me about something J …). Two cups of cocoa and a game of cards later, I decided to watch a little T.V (for two whole hoursL!!!). This got me back to staring at the monitor. This time round, I made amends such that I wasn’t merely glaring at the monitor like some confused bimbo, I started typing about how clueless I was and Walla!! This article was born!!

It has never been easy getting out of a slump. Remember so much is at stake here, the deadlines and all… how do you get yourself out of one of these?

Blogging tidbits

Blogging can be such a hustle, or such a breeze, depending on how you approach it. Well, there are key things to consider when writing a blog that can determine its success or failure.

Grammar:

Well written entries will attract you a loyal legion of readers. If you make several typos in the first, second, third, fourth… then “Huston, we have a problem!” There are several tools available to help you to this effect like Grammarly or alternatively, you could send a copy of your post to your friend who is well versed in this area for critical insight before you post it.

I most often than not tend to bend this rule because I try to write as I would talk (I always send a copy though…). Oh well…

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

This simply means making your blog/post rank better/higher on search engines when someone searches for the topic your blog/post is talking about (=increased traffic!).

Keywords– A very important part of SEO, choosing the right keywords is a challenging but greatly rewarding process. Its optimum use will lead to a huge amount of search engine referral traffic with higher conversion chances. What this basically means is that if for example you are writing about blogging, your post should be rich in keywords that relate to this topic like blog, blogger, blog post and blogs.

NB: Jamming your post with keywords haphazardly will only make you look foolish. In any case, what happens when you put too much salt in your food? Exactly.

Meta tagsInclude the Title tags,Meta description tags and Meta Keyword tag. If you expertly put in the relevant keywords herein, you can rest assured some traffic will be coming your way!!

Social media marketing– If you Google search ThaBizzKid, you will find that it shows ThaBizzKid on Twitter and Facebook as well. And since many people are on the social networking sites most of their online time, it makes perfect sense to promote your blog using the various social media, right?

Quality content:

Truth be told, I’d rather post a paragraph of quality material than post any at all. Why waste the readers’ (and mine too) time reading nonsense? In any case, do you think anyone would make a return trip after such an ordeal? Right.

Make your content unique and dynamic, something to set you apart from the rest…

It helps your SEO a great deal as well.

Passion, dedication, consistency:

Unless you are being forced to wake up and write your blogs, please do not subject your readers to mental torture!! Make ‘em wannna read line, after line, after line… like a good book would. Grab their attention and make them hang onto your every word.

The title of your post and your first line are especially important. If they succeed to grab your reader’s attention, they successfully convince him/her to read the rest of the story.

By putting yourself in your readers’ shoes, you will know what they want and how they want it. So you better give it to them that way.You should be able to express your genuine feelings towards the subject matter and make the reader feel it. This gives you and your reader a connection.

How often do you publish your posts? Weekly? Monthly? Randomly? I have realized from experience that the more

frequent your posts, the more readership you get = more referrals = more traffic! Easy, right? Mmmmhhhh… you better find that out for yourself (a little homework won’t hurt).

Last but by no means least, you ought to be consistent. If you keep your readers guessing, let them wonder to what heights you have risen this time round, not how low you’ve gone. If anything, every new post should be better than the previous one, if not as good.

The above tips are just a summary; every point is a broad topic on its own. These were just pointers to give you a rough picture as to what is required of you as a blogger in this ever-growing blog-sphere. For sure I haven’t covered everything; I hope to hear from you soon as you comment on this post. What have I left out?
